We’re trying something new – a regular midweek worship service.
It will be short (30 minutes) with more contemporary music.
Here’s the schedule:
6pm – A light meal for everyone.
6-7pm – Education for pre-k thru 5th graders (they get to eat too)
6:30pm – A brief worship service (prayers, lessons, 2 songs)
7:00pm – Confirmation, High School Youth Group, Adult Bible Study.
Everyone should be heading home by 8pm, most much earlier.
Wednesday Worship will be different than Saturday & Sunday Worship!
“So you can attend one, two, or all three services!”
Why?
We’ve noticed over the years that Wednesday evenings have been a good night for people to gather. At Saint James this has been true for Advent, Lent and summers.
We know that weekend schedules can make it challenging to gather for worship. This can be especially true for families with school-aged children.
We suspect that what is true for our members may be even more true for our neighbors.
Plus, what could be better than having a regular plan for dinner with friends on Wednesday nights with no planning, cooking or cleaning up?!?
“So, consider joining us on Wednesdays at 6:30pm.”
Dec 3 & 10 –– Holden Evening Prayer (Soup Supper at 6pm)
Dec 17 –– Children’s Christmas Program (Soup Supper at 6pm)
Dec 24 –– Christmas Eve (4:30pm & 6:30pm… no meal)
Dec 31 –– New Year’s Worship (Soup Supper with a Sparkling Toast at 6pm)
Jan 7, 14… –– Our Regular Mid-Week Service (Dinner at 6pm)
Thank you for your support and encouragement as we proclaim the Good News of God’s Love.
See you soon!
Pastor Bill
